All-Wales Coastal Path

coastalpathThe Promenade outside Café Cymru is part of the All Wales Coastal Path, a 1300800km footpath that follows the Coastline around Wales from the outskirts of Chester around to Chepstow. It is scheduled to be fully open in 2012. Café Cymru is an important point on the Coastal Path as it is where the Offa’s Dyke National Trail Path meets the Coastal Path creating a complete circular walk around Wales, the first in the world.

You'll never walk alone

welsh_wawPrestatyn and Meliden’s ‘YOU’LL NEVER WALK  ALONE’  INITIATIVE, the first of its kind in Wales has  been  in existence  for  just  over  six  years and has attracted a total attendance of just over 12,000.

The Clwydian Way

Walking Offa's Dyke

walkers_offaThe path commences at Central Beach in Prestatyn, adjacent to the Public art.  From the beach, the trail passes up Bastion Road towards the Railway Station, then up the High Street and Fforddlas, onto Prestatyn Hillside. Acorn signs mark the route up the Hillside and beyond.

Offas Dyke National Trail

OffasDykeWebLogoCrossing the border between England and Wales no less than nine times along its length, the Offa's Dyke Path stretches 177 miles from Prestatyn down to Chepstow on the Bristol Channel.
