Prestatyn's Countryside

countryside_booklet_pictureWhether you are visiting or live nearby, you can discover the richness of Prestatyn’s countryside.

Enjoy the breathtaking views from Prestatyn Hillside or the leafy woodland paths through Bishop’s Wood on the lower slopes. Both form the northern part of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Beauty, a stunning ridge of hills that stretch south for over 20 miles and are protected as one of the most important landscapes in Wales.

The wide beaches fringed with dunes at Gronant are equally spectacular and full of wildlife. The Prestatyn-Dyserth Way, a disused railway line now open as a surfaced path for walking and cycling, forms an ideal link between the other sites.

Gronant Dunes, Prestatyn Hillside and the Prestatyn- Dyserth Way are all managed by Denbighshire Countryside Service.  01352 810614 for further information or www.denbighshire.gov.uk/countryside
