Road Links

The A55 North Wales Expressway is easily accessible from Prestatyn, and serves as a link to national road networks. The M56 and A56 provide a direct connection from the Manchester area to the A55. The M56 motorway and A56 also link with the M6, leading either South to Birmingham and London, or North to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

National Rail Services

Prestatyn Railway Station is situated on the Holyhead branch of the West Coast Mainline. Direct services to London Euston are provided by Virgin Trains, while Arriva Trains Wales operates frequent trains to Chester, Crewe, Manchester, Birmingham, and across North Wales. Arriva also provides services each day to Cardiff and South Wales via Shrewsbury and Hereford.

Bus and Coach Services

Local bus services (Rhyl to Chester) are provided by ARRIVA Cymru
National Express operates a number of coach services to and from Prestatyn Bus Station, which connect with its vast UK-wide network. Voel Coaches of Dyserth provide UK and European tours.

National Cycle Network

The National Cycle Network, is coordinated by the charity Sustrans, Prestatyn is located on Route 5 of the Network, which runs from Reading up through Birmingham to Chester and then along the North Wales coast to Bangor.

Air

Prestatyn benefits from the close proximity of Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, both of which are only around an hour away by road.

Sea Travel

Holyhead to Dublin services are provided by Irish Ferries, while Stenaline offers routes from Holyhead to both Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. P&O has a long-established route from Liverpool to Dublin.
